When registering with FruitServers you agree to abide by and play within the policies of the server. These are the rules which are set to ensure a positive experience in all aspects of the community. A breach of rules will result in punishment, whether it be through warnings or bans. A frequent reminder to players to see the /rules as it is important for the community to understand where the boundaries lie. Although following the rules is important, it's significantly more important for you to have fun!
Listen to the Staff
This is the first rule for a reason. Our Staff are selected based on ability, meaning that what they say should be accepted as law.
No attempts to abuse bugs/exploits or glitches
Doing this gives you an advantage over other players, which is unfair. Bugs are problems with the setup of either one plugin, or conflicting plugins which allow players to avoid the intention of one plugins feature. Exploits are a bug or glitch with results which better the offender. A glitch is an unintentional break in plugins which give unexpected outcomes.
No abuse or disrespect towards anyone
As a community accepting of younger players, this is not allowed. All players, ranks irrelevant, are equal.
Spamming disrupts chat for every player. This includes frequent use of any commands that affect the server.
No hacked clients or client mods
Hacked clients are not allowed. Although some client mods are allowed. The exclusions are; Optifine and other visual mods/shaders, Minimaps and inventory modifying mods such as Invtweaks.
X-ray mods and texture packs give you an unfair advantage, using one will result in an instant ban.
No abusing commands
The commands you receive are not a right, they are a privilege.
Promoting other minecraft servers and/or their websites is considered advertising, as players are encouraged to leave Fruitservers for other servers.
Occasional swearing is accepted
In the end Minecraft is a family game, meaning that swearing should be kept to a minimum. We do allow it, but if you are asked to refrain from swearing by an staff, please do. Harsher words than the common few are not accepted.
No alternate accounts
If we've banned you, it was for a good reason. Don't try to circumvent the system, we will find out.
No referring or linking to inappropriate content
We request that you keep any crude humour or inappropriate material to a personal message where it won’t possibly offend others. This includes but is not limited to: pornography such as nudity and sexual acts, and scarring images such as gore and lewd acts.
No vulgar usernames
Player names with references to any form of sexual, discriminatory, racist, or insensitive subject will be banned and asked to change their name. This applies to new players and regular players who change their name.
No avoiding the AFK kick
Using an anti-afk mechanism of any sort allows players to avoid the afk-kick and artificially increase their on-time.
No Lag orientated Redstone Creations
These include intentional lag devices. If asked by a staff member to downsize the build, do it to avoid punishment.
Survival Specific Rules:
This ranges from block breaking/placing in and around where it is obvious another player has built. Stealing from chests and farms and killing other players mobs is also considered griefing.
No Excessive Entities
Excessive entities such as mobs or item frames grouped in small areas can create massive lag.
No creation/advertisement of Death Traps
Deliberately baiting players to their death will result in punishment.
Creative Specific Rules:
No griefing or defacing other player’s plot which you have been given access to
No Inappropriate Creations
No inappropriate material (i.e. Phallus). No offensive slurs or language represented in blocks, items or signs.
Discord Specific Rules:
Respect and Courtesy
As in game. we expect all users to show respect to others, no matter the situation. If there is an issue between you and another person, please ask a staff member and ensure you remain respectful and courteous. Communications online can often open up sensitive sides of people, exploiting these will result in extreme punishment.
Make sure you are in the correct channel
Will all the Discord channels available, there are certain channels for members. The fruit named channels (i.e. fruity) are for loitering and gathering. We also have the music channel, other games channel. It is vital that you often review what channel you're in and that it is appropriate to your circumstance.
Considerate of your noise
Having an echo or having loud background music can annoy players. Either solve your issue with support from the Staff, or mute your mic.
Discord is for FruitServers players only, if you decide to play on another server or other games please use the appropriate channel.
Forum Specific Rules:
No vulgar/inappropriate language, videos, images, or other sorts of content.
Do not bump excessively.
Do not micro post (one word posts).
Do not double post. Use the edit button.
Use appropriate titles with no excessive capitalization/spam.
Self-Promotion is Spam
All posts are read by our administration and moderation team. If we catch questionable content, it will immediately be edited or removed for further action. Any post that is considered advertising for one's servers, including the oblique promotion of any site one is affiliated with, fits under this subject. While you are allowed to promote your web site(s) in your signature, you are not permitted to post links to sites you run or are in any way affiliated with in your posts. In addition, users are not permitted to post any kind of affiliate program link with referrer IDs. Repeat violators who post promotional content will be permanently banned. On the topic of spam, should a member of the moderation or administrative team see a user ‘boosting’ their post count, a verbal warning will be issued.
Language and Trolling
Our community is widespread in age-groups. There are young users and language should be kept within an acceptable level. Vulgar language is not allowed. This constitutes the use of offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate material deemed unsafe for younger members. Inappropriate language will potentially be removed and users will be verbally warned.
In order to maintain a positive atmosphere, no personal attacks or insults will be tolerated. While discussions may become heated, it is not an excuse to result to attacks or insults. There is a difference between a passionate, respectful discussion and one that delves into personal matters. Think of it as debating issues, not individuals. When the line is crossed, the discussion may be closed by the moderation team. Violators will be warned.
If you have something to post and you're not sure which board it belongs in, do not post it in more than one board. If the administrators or moderators think it would fit better in another location, it will be moved there. Duplicate threads only serve to create confusion.
A typical signature contains the poster's name, e-mail address, website, and a favourite quote or saying. Excessive font size are not allowed. Should the content of a signature be deemed inappropriate or promote other servers it will be disabled. Anyone abusing this privilege will be verbally warned and then have their signature removed until they acknowledge this guideline.
